Related materials note

Four fragile documents have been removed and housed with MS.02, the George Fox University Collection on Herbert Hoover because they contain the President's signature, an 1887 letter of membership transfer from Cedar County Iowa to Hillside Friends Church (1887), and two donation letters on White House stationery from the President's secretary (dated 1930 and 1932). The letter dated August 11, 1926, and signed by Herbert Hoover, expresses his interest in the new church building construction and his plans to contribute $100 towards the construction.
