Historical note

The work at Northeast Tacoma (Washington) Friends Church began around 1923, when the Tacoma Meeting began conducting a Bible Study in an unchurched community.Various people from the surrounding area donated money for a meeting place. In 1937, Norhteast Tacoma became a monthly meeting under the leadership of Lewis and Myrtle Russell. In 1969, plans were made to construct a new church building, which became Olympic View Friends Church.
