Historical note

The first service was held in 1953 in the Timber, Oregon, grade school, with 44 in attendance. Roscoe S. Knight was serving as pastor in 1954, he was succeeded by Harold Ankeny. The meeting remained an outpost as of 1967. In January of 1972, plans were made to close the church.
