Summary The American Sunday School Union began a Sunday school in Agnew, Washington, in 1935. The Friends Church purchased 8 acres next to the community hall and a church building was eventually established in 1947. Ethel Cowgill was the first pastor at the Agnew Friends Outpost. Other early pastors were Zenas Perisho and Harold Ankeny; May Wallace began her pastorate at the church during in 1958 and continued through a period of growth when a new building was constructed. Summary

The first service was held in 1953 in the Timber, Oregon, grade school, with 44 in attendance. Roscoe S. Knight was serving as pastor in 1954. The meeting remained an outpost as of 1967. In January of 1972, plans were made to close the church. Records include a scrapbook (bulletins, brochures, financial documents, photos, etc.), minutes, guest books, "10th anniversary correspondence," newsletter, legal documents, bulletins, and correspondence.
