Historical note

Cherry Grove Friends Church was begun by J. Harley Adams, who was a student at Cascade College at the time. He was offered a little run-down church owned by the United Brethren. Piedmont Friends helped with the purchase, and by 1946, Adams graduated and became full time pastor at the church. On Sept. 16, 1979, Jack Willcuts spoke at the dedication of the new church building.
