Historical note

The first meetings for Wenatchee (Washington) Friends Church were held in the home of Nathan and Hazel Pierson in 1953, and soon swiched to a grade school in the area. In 1954, land was purchased in East Wenatchee and a basement sanctuary was constructed. The groundbreaking ceremony for the church building was held on Sep. 5, 1954, the first anniversary of the church. The church was completed in 1962. Other pastors up to 1971 include Preston Mills, Robert Morrill, Ray Moore, and Fred Johnson.
