Historical note

On May 10, 1904, the church began with 11 charter members at George Harvey's home in Everett, Washington, under the leadership of Charles Replogle. By 1909, Everett Friends Church had three preparative meetings. The church and related meetings experienced a decline after Replogle returned to missionary work in Alaska. In 1946, Arthur Roberts helped transfer the Everett Church from the Indiana Monthly Meeting to the Oregon Monthly Meeting.

Summary

Everett (Washington) Friends Church started in 1904.In 1946, the church administrative records were transfered from the Indiana Monthly Meeting to the Oregon Yearly Meeting. Hector Munn has written a history of several Washington state churches and the Everett Friends Church history is included. The transcript is boxed with materials for Quilcene, Everett, and Tacoma Friends Churches. Records consist of correspondence, bulletins, letters, membership records, written histories, reports, a scrapbook (including photos and newspaper clippings), and a book (The Coffee Chased Us Up).
