This compilation of records from NWYM Friends (Quaker) local churches throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho consists of directories, minutes, written histories, statistics, membership records, annual reports, newsletters, some correspondence, bulletins and programs. It also contains archived records of some “monthly meetings” and quarterly meetings, as well as some records from active churches.

Biographical / Historical

Kent (Washington) Friends Church began in 1970, when the McDonalds moved into the area and invited people to join a home Bible Study. In October of the same year, the group began meeting in Cedar Valley Elementary School. In 1973, a new church building was dedicated.
