Historical note

The work in Star, Idaho, had its roots in the Boise Monthly Meeting (the only Friends meeting in the valley then). Rosa Virtue held various meetings in 1903-4 (pastored until 1907). The meeting was then named New Hope. On Sep. 2, 1911, it was decided to move the church building to Star. In the November monthly meeting of 1912, the name Star Friends Monthly Meeting was first used. On Apr. 5, 1913, the certificate of incorporation was received by the secretary of state. A new church was built in 1967-1968.
