Historical note
In September of 1956, a group began meeting in a small hall in Tigard, Oregon, and by 1958, Ward Haines was breaking ground for a new church building. Oct. 4, 1959 marked the dedication for the church. Orville and Lois Winters began pastoring in August of 1957. Tigard Friends officially became a church around 1966. Another church was dedicated on Oct. 4, 1981.
