Historical note
The Vancouver (Washington) Friends Church began with Friday night prayer meetings in the home of William and Lucy White in 1925. The first church was built in 1929. Vancouver was officially established as a monthly meeting on July 22, 1929 with 26 charter members. Remodeling occurred in 1948 and construction of a new building began in 1963.
