Historical note

The Clackamas Park Meeting (Oregon) began as local Quakers from the Clackamas, Milwaukie, and Oak Grove areas met for worship. Paul Puckett began to lead these meetings in 1961. In 1964, the Board of Evangelism of Oregon Yearly Meeting of Friends and the First Friends Church of Portland helped to begin the work in earnest, and George Palmer agreed to lead in the building of a church. On Sep. 12, 1965, the first service was held in the new building with Howard E. Harmon as pastor. The dedication was held on Nov. 21 of that same year.
