 Collection — Container: MS.62
Identifier: MS-62

Content Description

This collection contains documents on foundations at George Fox University. The original manuscripts of Quaker Hours are also all present in this collection. Records are also of the Northwest Yearly Meeting. There are also documents on the founding of international programs. Also, some documents are related to Western States Chiropractic College. There are manuscripts of Ross' sermons, speeches, talks, and books. Some first hand accounts of Milo Ross and his life are also in this collection. Most records are from and about Oregon, but there are also several documents involving Ross' travels and George Fox College's involvement in California, Kansas, and Indiana as well as Western Europe, the Holy Land, Arabia, Vietnam and the Great Lakes region of Africa. Correspondences are from and to Milo Ross, Alice, Ross, David LeShana, Mark Hatfield, as well as Presidents from various Christian colleges. Much of the documentation in this collection is focused on Ross' presidency and Milo Ross as a person. Accreditation of George Fox College occurred during Ross' presidency and there are documents related to this in this collection. Quaker Hours also form a big part of this collection. This collection is essential for research on the academic affairs of George Fox College during Ross' presidency. Another research area this collection is essential in is the Quaker education George Fox College gave its students. Any research involving Quaker Hours would also benefit greatly from this collection.
