This compilation of records from NWYM Friends (Quaker) local churches throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho consists of directories, minutes, written histories, statistics, membership records, annual reports, newsletters, some correspondence, bulletins and programs. Summary The American Sunday School Union began a Sunday school in Agnew, Washington, in 1935. The Friends Church purchased 8 acres next to the community hall and a church building was eventually established in 1947. Ethel Cowgill was the first pastor at the Agnew Friends Outpost. Other early pastors were Zenas Perisho and Harold Ankeny; May Wallace began her pastorate at the church during in 1958 and continued through a period of growth when a new building was constructed.
