Cherry Grove Friends Church, Battleground, Washington, was begun by J. Harley Adams, who was a student at Cascade College. In 1946, Adams graduated and became full time pastor at the church. In 1979, present church building was dedicated. The Clackamas Park Meeting (Oregon) began in 1961. In 1965, the first service was held in the new building with Howard E. Harmon as pastor.
