Summary The American Sunday School Union began a Sunday school in Agnew, Washington, in 1935. The Friends Church purchased 8 acres next to the community hall and a church building was eventually established in 1947. Ethel Cowgill was the first pastor at the Agnew Friends Outpost. Other early pastors were Zenas Perisho and Harold Ankeny; May Wallace began her pastorate at the church during in 1958 and continued through a period of growth when a new building was constructed.
